The business community is inundated with questions around the economy at large, given the recent rolling load shedding by Eskom – and it is happening during the summer season. Investors can’t shake the question, how is winter load shedding going to look like? Is the worst still to come?

It seems state-owned enterprises (SOEs), including Eskom, haven’t been doing well lately, and politicians blame corruption and misuse of funds for the rot. This week, another SOE, Telkom, will release its interim results on Tuesday, 9 November 2021.

Here are more key dates for the rest of the week

Monday: Delta Property Fund and Raubex will release their interim results. Redefine properties is expected to release its annual results.

Tuesday: Telkom interim results will be released.

Wednesday: The construction and engineering group, Aveng, will hold its Annual General Meeting (AGM).

Thursday: The following companies will release their interim results; Mediclinic International, TFG, and MultiChoice. ArcelorMittal SA Will release Q3 results, while Rebosis Property Fund will release its annual results.

On the economic front, Stats SA will release September mining production and sales data, as well as manufacturing and sales data. The Medium-Term Budget Policy Statement will also be presented.

Friday: Italtile is expected to hold its AGM.
